MicroStream is the very first bulletproof serialization for Java and fixes the biggest security issue of Java existing for 25 years. In addition to that MicroStream is the very first Java-native persistence that makes storing and querying data in Java revolutionary easy and fast.

We enable Java developers to simplify and accelerate their entire development process. Our users benefit from a shorter time to market and save money.

Under these awesome technical premises and funded with venture capital, we have started the mission to become a leader in Java and data processing in a fast way.

We are Java geeks and a Java company through and through. More than 80 percent of our employees will be in technical roles. Our founders are enthusiastic developers as well as speaking your language. Our goal is to create awesome high-quality products for Java developers that make their life easier and simply make them happy.

Markus Kett

Co-Founder & CEO

Markus has been working with Java for 20 years now. Before he founded MicroStream, he was the product owner of the free Java IDE RapidClipse. He was the producer and moderator of the computer TV show XDEV TV. Markus is still editor in chief for JAVAPRO magazine in Germany and co-organizer of the Java community conference JCON. As CEO of MicroStream he is responsible for the product strategy, global business development, and international sales activities. Markus loves to create new technologies and solving problems together with exhausted developers as well as working closely together with our customers and helping them to realize their own visions.

Co-Founder & CTO

Florian is the born Java geek. Florian has developed almost alone a complete Java IDE (XDEV Swing Builder) including a powerful code editor, GUI-Builder and a persistence framework. He is the project leader and contributor to the free Eclipse distribution RapidClipse - a visual Java IDE which is, by the way, predestined for rapidly developing MicroStream applications. He is also the architect of the JPA query language JPA-SQL. For almost 15 years, the main goal of his daily work is making database development with Java much easier and faster than it is today. As CTO of MicroStream, he is responsible for our product development. He still uses every free minute for coding and research.

Thomas Schmetzer

Co-Founder & CFO

Thomas is a graduated communications specialist and business economist. He started his career by founding his own media agency, focused on the internet, online marketing, and public relations. Last 12 years he was the managing director for an international software company. In this role, he established agile methods in his own company as well as at many customers. Therefore, he also understands the developer's way of thinking and working. As CFO of MicroStream, he is responsible and focused on our long-term financial strategy, finance controlling, investor relations and preparing the company for being able to grow strong and fast.
