MicroStream 7 Overview

MicroStream 7 is just around the corner. We’ve been working on great new features. In the last MicroStream Online Meetup we have introduced the new features, our new release cycle and what’s next. The recorded session is now available. Topics:

CDI extension

We’re very happy about the new CDI extension which makes it easy to use MicroStream with any MicroProfile runtime such as Helidon MP, Payara Micro, TomEE MicroProfile, and Open Liberty.

MicroStream Cluster

One of the most requested features of all is how to build distributed apps and microservices with MicroStream. We have been working intensively on the replication of real Java object graphs. Now, it is possible to distribute any Java object graph through numerous nodes running independently.

New release cycle

From MicroStream version 7 we will change our release cycle. We will double the free update period from 6 to 12 months in total, which means in the future, updates will be provided for 12 months for free.
